Today the babies were a little sick, a little housebound, and a little grizzly. So after lunch we took a drive up the coast… Porirua…Plimmerton…Pukerua Bay…Paekakariki… to Paraparaumu where I visited our joinery spray painter to deliver some shelving parts and new timber samples for The Assembly Stackweave. Sabina saw ladies riding along the streets on horseback, and sheep on the roadside farms. Thomasin and Lido mainly slept. Once home the temperature had risen, and our neighbour, one week overdue with her second baby rested her load awhile in our sunny courtyard. I dragged out the rug and beanbags for the kids and they spent a happy afternoon lolling about, with me rushing around fetching drinks, snacks and trying to limit their roving to the carpet, and not the concrete. Sabina stripped off and waded in the pot plant saucers. It was a nice afternoon, on the courtyard carpet.
