Pita chips

A few times at Katy Chalmers house she has had these pita chips on hand. I think every time I’ve been surprised to learn that they are home baked.  So I tried some myself (starting with store bought pita breads).

  1. Take a store bought large Pita bread and cut as shown in the photos into triangles
  2. Toss in Olive Oil
  3. Bake slowly in a 100degC oven til crispy/golden
  4. Serve with hummus and dips
  5. Lasts for weeks in an airtight container.

  2. We use this exact bread heaps (stored in the freezer) and it is pizza bases for us! Kate loves chopping (not really) and sprinkling (again – tends to be not really, more like clumps) topping on the pizzas and then 10min in the oven and its a wholesome family meal. Yay!
