Last year Valeria gave Sabina a Barbie sweatshirt. It is a firm fave in her wardrobe and it takes a fair thrashing. Last month we attended a birthday party where the cake featured a real barbie doll poked into a pink-iced chocolate cake skirt. And until today our house didn’t have any Barbie dolls. But I picked up 4 this morning at the Kelburn playcentre toy sale, and coincidentally Sabina was rocking her Barbie top. They were $2 each, and the kids were stoked. Bina carried one or more around with her all day, looking like the leader of the Barbie Party.
