The All Blacks banner flag dress

Last night we went to the All Blacks vs France match at Joe’s Garage in Wellington, hosted by Architectural Profiles Ltd.  The invite noted a competition for best dressed in black and white with the prize being an All Blacks jersey, so that sparked me into action with creating this All Blacks Banner Flag dress.

The banner flags are available everywhere at the moment for the Rugby World cup and they are only $5 each.  This dress took 4x flags and I used the Anna Maria Horner Museum Tunic instructions and made a few mods, namely adding a puff bottom, shortening the dress and adding a fat obi-ish bow tied in the back.  The banner flags were far more structured than the fabrics in the tutorial so it ended up being a more sculptural dress.  The dress has the two silver ferns at the front and the All Blacks logo panels at the back.

The All Blacks won.  The Warriors won. And, I won too!
