We are extending the lawn. I thought the prep might take a week. A month more like it.
I love a flat lush lawn. Bowling green, putting green – the lawn dream. Our last lawn was laser levelled, earth worked – screeded- scraped within a 1/8 inch of itself and float finished with a timber plank before hydro seeding.
The new bit is to match in and the preparation is tedious, hopefully worth it. It has been scraped, topsoiled, trampled, and dragged. Raked, raked, raked and finally sown, then raked again. This time I’m trying to seed it myself, I used the Tupperware Jiffy Sifter to spread the seed (The same might work for spreading wildflower seeds). Now to water and wait.
